Connecting WhatsApp Business to GoHighLevel gives you a unified inbox where all WhatsApp conversations appear alongside your email and SMS — and you can respond from inside GHL.

Requirements Before Connecting

• A Facebook Business Manager account (business.facebook.com)
• A verified WhatsApp Business account with a business phone number
• The phone number must not currently be registered with the WhatsApp consumer app — it must be a dedicated business number or freshly reset
• Your Hordanso Marketing Suite sub-account must be active

Step 1: Connect WhatsApp in GHL Settings

1. Log in to your GHL sub-account.
2. Click Settings (gear icon) at the bottom left.
3. Click Integrations.
4. Find WhatsApp and click Connect.
5. Click Connect to Facebook to begin the OAuth flow.
6. Log in to Facebook and select your Business Manager account.
7. Follow the steps to verify your WhatsApp Business number (you will receive a call or SMS with a verification code).
8. Once verified, click Finish.

Step 2: Test the Connection

9. Ask someone to send a WhatsApp message to your business number.
10. Go to Conversations in GHL.
11. The message should appear in your inbox with a WhatsApp icon.
12. Click on the conversation and send a test reply.

What You Can Do After Connecting

• Read and reply to WhatsApp messages from inside GHL without opening WhatsApp
• Assign WhatsApp conversations to team members
• Trigger GHL automations when a WhatsApp message is received
• Add a WhatsApp contact to a pipeline automatically
• Send templated WhatsApp messages to bulk contacts (requires pre-approved templates)

Note: WhatsApp Business API templates must be approved by Meta before you can send bulk messages. GHL helps you manage template creation and approval. Contact Hordanso support for assistance with this process.
