Get Started in Minutes with Hordanso OpenClaw VPS

Launch your AI powered VPS environment in just a few minutes with Hordanso OpenClaw VPS. This setup provides full control, secure automation, and a powerful AI agent system running directly on your server.

Step 1: Choose Your Plan

Select an OpenClaw VPS plan that matches your workload.

You can choose a recommended configuration for standard usage or fully customize CPU, RAM, and storage for advanced workloads.

Once deployed, your server will come pre installed with OpenClaw and will be ready for setup.

Step 2: Complete Initial Setup

After deployment, connect to your server via SSH and start the onboarding wizard.

Run:

openclaw onboard

During setup, you will:

Add your AI provider API keys such as OpenAI or other supported models
Connect messaging channels including Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, and others
Configure system preferences and automation settings

This step ensures your AI environment is fully configured for your use case.

Step 3: Start Using OpenClaw

Once setup is complete, you can interact with your AI system in two ways:

Terminal Interface (TUI) for direct command interaction
Secure Control Dashboard accessed through SSH tunneling

Both interfaces give you full control over your AI agent system.

Step 4: Connect to Your VPS via SSH

OpenClaw runs securely on your server and does not expose a public web interface by default for security reasons.

To begin setup, connect using SSH:

ssh root@<your-server-ip>

Enter your server password when prompted.

Once connected, you will be inside your server environment.

Step 5: Launch the Onboarding Wizard

If onboarding does not start automatically, run:

openclaw onboard

This interactive wizard guides you through the full setup process.

Step 6: Complete Onboarding Configuration

During onboarding, you will configure the following:

Security Confirmation
Confirm that you understand OpenClaw provides powerful system level capabilities when tools are enabled.

AI Provider Setup
Select your AI provider
Enter your API key
Enable authentication

API usage may generate third party costs depending on your provider.

Channel Integration
Connect OpenClaw to communication platforms such as Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord, or skip this step and configure later.

Skill Configuration
Enable advanced automation skills and integrations. Optional features can be skipped and enabled later.

Step 7: Save Your Gateway Access

During setup, OpenClaw generates a secure gateway token.

This token is required to access the Control Dashboard.

Ensure you save it securely before proceeding.

Step 8: Installation Complete

Once onboarding is finished, OpenClaw will:

Start gateway services
Initialize AI agents
Display control access information

At this stage, your system is fully operational.

Step 9: Launch Terminal Interface

To interact with OpenClaw directly:

openclaw tui

This provides a terminal based interface for managing your AI system.

Step 10: Access Control Dashboard

OpenClaw does not expose a public dashboard for security reasons.

Instead, use SSH tunneling:

ssh -N -L 18789:127.0.0.1:18789 root@<your-server-ip>

Then open your browser:

http://localhost:18789/

This securely forwards the dashboard from your server to your local machine.

Step 11: Connect Dashboard to Gateway

If the dashboard does not automatically connect:

Option 1: Use onboarding token
Paste the saved gateway token into the dashboard.

Option 2: Regenerate access link
Run:

openclaw dashboard

This generates a new secure access link.

Important Notes

API usage from AI providers may generate usage based costs.
You are responsible for managing API keys securely.
OpenClaw runs on your own server environment.
No public dashboard is exposed by default for security reasons.

Final Result

After setup, you get:

Fully deployed AI agent VPS
Secure SSH based control system
Terminal and web dashboard access
Multi channel AI integration
Scalable automation environment
