How to Transfer a Domain to Hordanso

Transferring your domain to Hordanso lets you manage everything — hosting, email, and domain — from one place.

Before You Start: Requirements for Domain Transfer

  • Your domain must be at least 60 days old (ICANN policy)
  • Your domain must not be expired or locked for transfer
  • You need the EPP/Authorization (Auth) Code from your current registrar
  • Domain privacy must be temporarily disabled so the transfer email can reach you

Step 1: Prepare Your Domain at the Current Registrar

  1. Log in to your current domain registrar (e.g., Namecheap, GoDaddy, etc.).
  2. Unlock your domain (remove the Transfer Lock or Registrar Lock).
  3. Disable domain privacy protection temporarily.
  4. Request the EPP/Authorization Code. It will be emailed to the domain's registered email address.

Step 2: Start the Transfer at Hordanso

  1. Go to clients.hordanso.net/cart.php?a=add&domain=transfer.
  2. Enter your domain name and click Transfer.
  3. Enter the EPP/Auth Code.
  4. Review the order. The transfer fee covers one year of renewal.
  5. Complete payment.

Step 3: Approve the Transfer

  1. Watch for an email from Hordanso (or the domain registry) asking you to confirm the transfer.
  2. Click the approval link in the email.
  3. The transfer will complete within 5–7 days.

Note: .ng and .com.ng domain transfers may have different timelines and require additional verification. Contact support if you are transferring a Nigerian domain.

Tip: After the transfer is complete, re-enable domain privacy from your Hordanso client portal.
