Domains must be renewed every year (or however long your registration period is). If your domain expires, your website and email will stop working.
How to Renew Your Domain
- Log in at clients.hordanso.net.
- Click Domains in the top menu.
- Click My Domains.
- Find the domain you want to renew and check the Expiry Date column.
- Click the Renew button (or the Renew icon in the Actions column).
- Choose the renewal period (1 year, 2 years, etc.).
- Click Add to Cart, then proceed to checkout and pay the renewal invoice.
Set Up Auto-Renewal
To avoid forgetting to renew:
- In My Domains, click Manage next to the domain.
- Look for the Auto Renew toggle and enable it.
- Make sure your payment method on file is valid so the charge goes through automatically.
Important: Auto-renewal only works if you have a valid payment method saved and enough balance. If the auto-renewal charge fails, your domain will expire.
What Happens If My Domain Expires?
- Day 1–15 after expiry: Domain enters a Grace Period. You can renew at the normal price.
- Day 16–30: Domain enters Redemption Period. Renewal may cost significantly more.
- After Redemption: Domain is deleted and becomes available for anyone to register.
Renewing Automatically When You Purchase
When you first register a domain, you can choose a 1, 2, or 3-year registration term. Longer terms are cheaper per year and reduce the risk of accidentally letting your domain expire.
Tip: Set a calendar reminder 60 days before your domain expiry date as a backup, even if auto-renewal is enabled.
