Here is how to add your Hordanso business email to the native Mail app on your iPhone or iPad.
Email Settings You Will Need
- Your full email address (e.g., [email protected])
- Your email password
- Incoming mail server: mail.yourdomain.com
- Outgoing mail server: mail.yourdomain.com
Replace 'yourdomain.com' with your actual domain name in all settings.
Step-by-Step Setup on iPhone
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Scroll down and tap Mail.
- Tap Accounts.
- Tap Add Account.
- Tap Other (at the bottom of the list).
- Tap Add Mail Account.
- Fill in your details:
- Name: Your name or business name (this is what recipients see)
- Email: your full email address (e.g., [email protected])
- Password: your email password
- Description: a label for this account (e.g., Business Email)
- Tap Next. Your iPhone will try to detect settings automatically. If it fails, you will enter them manually.
- Make sure IMAP is selected at the top (not POP3).
- Under INCOMING MAIL SERVER:
- Host Name: mail.yourdomain.com
- User Name: your full email address
- Password: your email password
- Under OUTGOING MAIL SERVER:
- Host Name: mail.yourdomain.com
- User Name: your full email address
- Password: your email password
- Tap Next. Your iPhone will verify the settings.
- If verification is successful, tap Save.
Verifying SSL Ports
If the setup fails, go to the advanced settings and manually set:
- IMAP Port: 993, SSL: On
- SMTP Port: 465, SSL: On (or port 587 with STARTTLS)
Note: If your domain's SSL certificate is self-signed, your iPhone may show a warning. You can choose to accept it or contact Hordanso support to install a valid Let's Encrypt certificate.
