How to Configure Email on Android

Here is how to add your Hordanso business email to the Gmail app or the native Email app on Android. The steps vary slightly by phone brand, but the key settings are the same.

Settings You Will Need

  • Email address: e.g., [email protected]
  • Password: your email password
  • Incoming server (IMAP): mail.yourdomain.com | Port: 993 | Security: SSL/TLS
  • Outgoing server (SMTP): mail.yourdomain.com | Port: 465 | Security: SSL/TLS
  • Username: your full email address

Using the Gmail App (Recommended)

  1. Open the Gmail app on your Android phone.
  2. Tap the menu icon (three lines) at the top left.
  3. Tap your account name or profile photo at the top.
  4. Tap Add Another Account.
  5. Tap Other.
  6. Type your email address and tap Next.
  7. Select Personal (IMAP) and tap Next.
  8. Enter your password and tap Next.
  9. For the Incoming Server settings, enter: mail.yourdomain.com | Port: 993 | Security type: SSL/TLS.
  10. Tap Next.
  11. For the Outgoing Server settings, enter: mail.yourdomain.com | Port: 465 | Security type: SSL/TLS.
  12. Tap Next.
  13. Adjust account options (sync frequency, notifications) and tap Next.
  14. Give the account a name (e.g., Business Email) and tap Done.

Using Samsung Email App

Open Samsung Email > tap the hamburger menu > tap the gear icon > Add Account > Other. The rest of the steps are the same as above.

Tip: If you want your replies to show your name (not the raw email address), make sure to fill in the 'Your name' field with your name or business name during setup.
