My Website is Down — First Steps to Diagnose

If your website is not loading, here is a quick checklist to diagnose the problem before contacting support.

Step 1: Check If It's Just You

Go to downforeveryoneorjustme.com and type your domain. This tells you whether your site is down for everyone or just for you.

  • Down for everyone: the problem is with your hosting server or DNS
  • Down only for you: the problem is with your internet connection, local DNS cache, or your IP is blocked

Step 2: Clear DNS Cache and Try Different Networks

  • Clear your browser cache: press Ctrl+Shift+Delete (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+Delete (Mac)
  • Try opening the site on mobile data (not Wi-Fi) — if it works, your router or ISP DNS is the issue
  • Try a different browser or an incognito window

Step 3: Check Hordanso Server Status

Hordanso may have a known issue or scheduled maintenance. Check our status page or contact support via WhatsApp to ask if there is a service outage.

Step 4: Check Your Hosting Account

  1. Log in to clients.hordanso.net.
  2. Click Services > My Services.
  3. Check that your hosting plan shows Active, not Suspended or Terminated.
  4. If it shows Suspended, check Billing > My Invoices for an unpaid invoice. Pay it and the account will be reactivated.

Step 5: Check cPanel and Error Logs

  1. Log in to cPanel.
  2. Click Error Logs in the Metrics section.
  3. Look for recent PHP or server errors that might explain the issue.

Common Causes and Quick Fixes

  • Expired hosting or domain: log in and pay overdue invoice
  • Resource limit exceeded (CPU/RAM on shared hosting): contact support to temporarily increase limit
  • .htaccess error: rename .htaccess to .htaccess_old via File Manager to test if it is the cause
  • WordPress plugin conflict: deactivate plugins via FTP if WP admin is inaccessible
  • DNS not propagated: wait up to 72 hours after nameserver changes
